Subjects (third day)

Today we've been with the pupils in a class that doesn't exist in Spain. It's called "freeties" or something like that. They were making toys with pieces of wood and clothes. This subject is very interesting because it helps on the development of physical and psychological skills. In Spain we should take note of this because it's very funny for children to learn by this way. Also is a relaxing class so after "freeties", pupils are more concentrated in other subjects and this is positive to the learning process.

Responsibility. (second day)

Today I want to speak about something I've noticed in this two days. Yesterday I saw surprised how pupils came back to class after the break. They didn't need a ringing bell or a call from the teacher, they just appeared in class after the twenty-minutes break.

This doesn't happens in Spain, specially in low leves like the second grade. In Spain the whole school has the break at the same time and one alarm sounds when the break is over. Sometimes is hard to bring the pupils to the class again!!!!

And today I've seen how children don't cross the red line that marks the end of the school. Schools in Spain are closed, all schools have bars delimiting the playground to keep students inside the school.

I don't know why student's behaviour is different in Sweden. They looks older than Spanish students at the same grade. I'll keep thinking about this....

Sandaredskolan!!! (first day)

This is my school. It's located in Sandared (Borås). The school is not too big but it's well equipped. I'm in the second grade and Cristina will be with me during our AVT. The most awesome thing I've found in the school is the music class. There are five pianos, three drums, eight guitars, many smaller instruments like tambourines or xylophones and stuffs like mycrophones and speakers. And also there is one thing that any teacher would like to have in their schools: a relaxing sofa!!! It has some vibratory programms and you can use it during the breaks to get some relax.

It's gonna be fun, I guess!!!! :)
